### Job Overview

Capable Labs is hiring an **In Vivo Research Technician for the night shift** to support mouse studies and vivarium operations. The successful candidate will help ensure smooth overnight research activities, monitor animal welfare, collect and preserve samples, and provide accurate handoffs to the daytime research team.

### Key Responsibilities

* Perform overnight research activities, including scheduled dosing, observations, sample collection, and time-sensitive procedures.
* Administer mouse doses through common routes, including IP, IV, SC, PO, and intranasal, following approved protocols and training.
* Collect, process, label, track, and store blood and tissue samples.
* Monitor animal health and welfare, document observations, and report concerns when necessary.
* Assist with surgeries and specialized procedures, including EEG studies, with appropriate training.
* Maintain routine animal husbandry, vivarium cleanliness, organization, and supplies.
* Prepare accurate morning handoff reports detailing completed tasks, deviations, animal-health concerns, samples, and pending issues.

### Ideal Candidate Qualifications

* Willingness to commit to a long-term night-shift schedule.
* Practical laboratory animal experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical research, academia, or a related field.
* Familiarity with mouse handling, husbandry, dosing procedures, and research documentation.
* Strong attention to detail, animal welfare, and sample integrity.
* Ability to work independently, follow established protocols, and make sound decisions.
* Excellent documentation and communication skills for clear handoffs to the day team.
